The poem about downpipes

The poem about downpipes

In the city's downpipes, I find poetry. Their repetitive details create an urban rhythm, and they become distinct characters to me. By bringing these downpipes from their secondary roles to the foreground, I appeal to the theory of the agency of things, which endows them with their own essence. Thus, through a visual series, an unremarkable utilitarian element ceases to be merely a part of a building and speaks of something elusive.
