Artist Statement

I perceive the world as a single organism in which all forms of being are interconnected. In this paradigm, humans do not occupy a central position but remain as unknown as other creatures.

My practice rejects direct aesthetics and shock value, relying on the value of pauses, silence, and intervals in which subtle, unobtrusive signs of time. Through memory, sensory and bodily experience, I seek connections between the human and the non-human agents. These interrelationships often become the central motif of my works.

The poetry of everyday life and an interdisciplinary approach for me are creative methods and acts of attention, in which the variability of mediums allows me to bring the meaning of the works to the forefront. Through subtle gestures, everyday situations, and material traces, I address ways of being present and involved in the world. A significant aspect is the shift in perception from fast and automatic to slow and attentive. I see this slowing down as an artistic and ethical strategy aimed at overcoming the disunity between humans and environment, as well as an agent for critically reflecting on the culture of overconsumption and a decrease in sensitivity to the surrounding world.
